Rhubacue on the River in Manchester Saturday – Mix 94.7 KMCH
It’s “Rhubacue on the River” in Manchester city center on Saturday.
Manchester Chamber director Ali Manson said this year’s festival combines three favorites – rhubarb, barbecue and river. And it all starts with a 5 km run on Saturday morning.
There will be plenty of rhubarb goodies, including the rhubarb pie sold by the Manchester Lions Club, the rhubarb shakes from Widner’s and the rhubarb beer brewed by the Franklin Street Brewing Company.
And once you’ve checked out the vendors on South Franklin Street, you’ll be able to head to Shelly Park next to Whitewater Park, where the Kids Zone will be set up in the lookout area.
There will also be free yoga sessions. And with peaks expected into the ’80s this weekend, it’ll be a great day to get out on the water and enjoy Whitewater Park, so don’t hesitate to bring your tubes and kayaks.
Vendors will start settling in around 7 a.m. on Saturday, and the event will end around 1 p.m. The weekly Manchester Farmers’ Market will also be held on Saturdays from 7:30 am-11am along the river on River Street behind Bushel & A Peck.

And tune in on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 as Janelle Tucker and Rob Edwards broadcast live from the event on Mix 94.7 KMCH.
